CEOP
This section of our website has been created to support the seminar we deliver to parents across Essex entitled "Every Child Matters - Staying Safe". The seminar gives details of just how children use the internet, and what they actually do when they are "surfing". Delivered in laymans terms, it includes answers to the following questions:-
Adult and Children web use - what's the difference?
Just what are Social Networking Sites (MySpace, Facebook, etc.)?
How do Chatrooms actually work?
Do you understand Instant Messaging?
Does your child keep a Blog? What is a Blog?
Video and Photo-sharing websites (YouTube, etc.)
Mobile Phone and Text Messaging - what are the dangers?
What is Cyberbullying, and how is it carried out?
What is CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre) and what does it do?
The seminar is not intended to scare, but to help parents and carers understand just what their child is doing.
If you would like to know more about this seminar, or you would like to discuss us coming and delivering it at your school or learning establishment, please feel free to contact us.
During the course of the seminar, some websites and useful links are mentioned. They can all be accessed from here; just click the link to be taken to the associated website.
